Google has released Webmaster Tools API, a tool that integrates API (Application Programming Interface) into Webmaster Tools. What can this do for you? It will allow you to integrate Webmaster Tools for third-parties. It supports the following features:
Managing Websites:
1. Retrieve a list of your sites in Webmaster Tools.
2. Add your sites to Webmaster Tools.
3. Verify your sites in Webmaster Tools.
4. Remove your sites from Webmaster Tools.
Working with Sitemaps:
1. Retrieve a list of your submitted Sitemaps.
2. Add Sitemaps to Webmaster Tools.
3. Remove Sitemaps from Webmaster Tools.
I’m sure there will be some bugs and what have you since this is the debut but you can expect updates and improvements.

I know this is ‘old news’ but I feel I must bring it up for the sake of those who may still think they are getting ahead through the selling of link space. Text link space to be more precise.
Some time ago toward the middle of last year something begin to happen in the search rankings and page rank through Google concerning blogs who apparently were selling text links ads or using a thrid party to sell for them. PR began to drop and some sites were disappearing completely from the search results. What the….?
Google will penalize you if you keep using the text link advertising method to earn a dollar on your site/blog. They consider this a form of manipulation to gain certain positions in search results and have since pounded us bloggers who use link ads.
I just today, finally, removed Text-Link Ads from my (once popular) coffee blog. It reached a 6/10 once and leveled off to a steady 5/10 in PR. If you have visited you’ve probably noticed it now ranks as a 2/10 pr. It is just sickening and I had to sacrifice that $150 a month just to try and gain some rank back. What a shame but I do have to admit I was noticing a couple of my sold links had nothing to do with coffee. That played a large role in the removal.
Take it from me, don’t do it unless you could just really care less about anyone visiting your site through the use of Google search.

Google is rolling out a great feature. And it is about time. I hate logging into my AdSense account changing a color or selecting a new keyword, then run back to my blog and change the code etc…
Now, they are making things easy for us. You will be able to do all that from your AdSense account. Is you need to change an ad unit, just do it from there and it will update automatically on your website/blog. Nifty. It is called the “manage ads” feature.
Below is quoted from my account page on AdSense:
1. Sign into your AdSense account.
2. Under the AdSense Setup tab, visit the Manage Ads page. (once they have it there)
3. On this page, you’ll see a list of active AdSense units — units that have been created or received impressions in the last 7 days. (You can view a full list by selecting the checkbox next to ‘Show inactive AdSense units’.) Select the AdSense unit you want to update.
4. Change the settings for this unit, then use the preview to view the changes. Save your changes.
You can keep with the old school ways if you prefer not to use the new feature.

Google Shared Storage now available
Google users can add to their available storage for Gmail and
Picasa Web Albums now. They can now increase it to as much as 250GB for an yearly fee.
Not long after (within hours) Microsoft opened its Beta version of Windows Live SkyDrive online storage product to the general public, Google fell in behind them with the announcement of its new Shared Storage service.
Extra storage is given where ever you need extra storage, whether it be G-Mail or your Picasa Web Album. It is on auto-pilot, unlike Microsoft Windows Live SkyDrive storage product. Check it out!
6GB is about $20
There are currently 4 plans available, ranging from 6GB ($20/year) to 250/GB ($500/year). Two of the plans in the shared storage program are cheaper than the original plans for Picasa Web Albums, which were 6GB for $25/year and 25GB for $100/year.
